How to get here
Teacapán is a small fishing village, about 130 km south of Mazatlan, on
the end of an isolated peninsula that extends 29 km down a coastline of
pristine beaches. The Teacapán tidal Estuary is hundreds of kilometers
long and we’re located right where it empties into the Pacific. It's the
ultimate peaceful and spectacular refuge.
We can provide airport pickup in Mazatlan with sufficient advance
notice. Our pickup rate is $40 USD (maximum 5 person). Return to airport
is also $40 USD.
By Bus: Autotransportes Escuinapa has several second-class buses daily
to Escuinapa: The fare is about $5. From there you can transfer to
Teacapán (about $3).
If you have your own transportation, take Highway 15 south from
Mazatlan to Escuinapa. In Escuinapa the highway turns right and becomes
one-way. Proceed for two blocks past all the shrimp sellers where there is
the option to continue left on the highway to Tepic or continue straight
ahead to Teacapán. After four more blocks turn right onto the highway to
Teacapán. Both junctions are well signed. If you're arriving from the
south, it's easy: Just turn left at the Bancomer building.
Proceed for 39 kilometers down the peninsula. One kilometer before the
arched entranceway into Teacapán turn right onto the unpaved Playa Lupita
road. There is a sign advertising Senior Wayne’s Restaurant at the
junction. Dave & Nancy’s house is the only building on this road about
half a kilometer down.
